Distorted ways of learning?
Not too sure what to make of this article: Paper-Based Materials Distorted Ways of Learning, but I wanted to throw it out there for others to read. It brings up some interesting issues about learning in this digital world of ours. Have we compartmentalized learning too much? Do we focus on the individual learning at the expense of collaborative learning? Which is better?

Interesting article.
I like: The disconnect between talking in class and doing homework out of class is not only unnecessary but directly contradicts the realities of the digital learning materials of today.
I'm not so sure about: the difference between analog and digital "questions" (the digital relating to a class member's comment).
It makes me wonder about standards of scholarship, research, etc. But I imagine widespread change like the author is advocating will be somewhat slow to reach institutions of higher learning, so maybe there will be plenty of time to work out the kinks. :)
